4. NHL: Washington Capitals @ Edmonton Oilers (Thursday 9:30pm from Edmonton live on Comcast SportsNet), Washington Capitals @ Vancouver Canucks (Saturday 10pm from Vancouver live on Comcast SportsNet)
The Caps have apparently played well at the beginning of the hockey season. I say “apparently” because I’m not from DC so I don’t care for the Capitals.
I do however enjoy this picture of Alex Ovechkin seeing his wax figure for the first time at Madame Tussauds. I enjoy strange things.
George St. Pierre was supposed to be involved with this event, meaning people would want to watch. Unfortunately he’s no longer involved, so….
I encourage you to come watch the fight at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood in Dundalk. It’s a good time and there are nice people there…
2. College Football: Delaware @ Towson (Saturday 7pm from Unitas Stadium live on Comcast SportsNet), Boston College @ Maryland (Saturday 3pm from Byrd Stadium live on Comcast SportsNet), Navy @ Notre Dame (Saturday 3:30pm from South Bend, IN live on NBC), Ursinus @ Johns Hopkins (Saturday 1pm Homewood Field); Stanford @ USC (Saturday 8pm from Los Angeles live on ABC)
I’m so unprepared for Blue Hens hate week. There’s never been a game like this on the Towson University campus. I’ll be stealing from others until someone gets me some decent Tigers propaganda…
1. NFL: Arizona Cardinals @ Baltimore Ravens (Sunday 1pm from M&T Bank Stadium live on FOX)
I still can’t believe the Monday Night Football game really happened.
The good news is that the Cards have been terrible this year and haven’t won a 1pm game in what I believe has been five eternities. No one feels more comfortable about that in Charm City because the Ravens were just embarrassed by the Jaguars.
The most worrisome part of the loss in Jacksonville? The Ravens’ O-Line got pushed around. I’m sure Darnell Dockett won’t be a problem at all…
Holy hell how can a man be both beefy and defined at the same time? (Editor’s note: No, I’m not attracted to him. That’s reserved for Andy Roddick you weirdos.)
Flexing my mic muscles since 1983…
