4. High School Football: City/Poly (Saturday 12pm M&T Bank Stadium); Perry Hall @ Hereford (Friday 7pm), Mt. St. Joseph @ Calvert Hall (Friday 7pm)

I guess everyone is excited about the big game downtown Saturday afternoon, but I know damn well the showdown between the Gators and the Bulls is the most important showdown of the weekend. Please allow me the opportunity to introduce you to PHHS back Eric Latham…

He’s a junior. I approve. Go Gators!

3. Horse Racing: Breeders’ Cup (Friday 3:30pm live on ESPN2/ Saturday 2pm live on ABC 4pm live on ESPN/ All racing from Louisville)

Would ANYONE be willing to fill in for me on Friday & Saturday so I can go???

Seriously…this place is the home of the Hot Brown…

Lynn’s Paradise Cafe…

And breathtaking lights at the track…

Not to mention Nappy Roots…

You know, maybe it’s best I’m not going. I’m not sure I’d come back.

2. College Football: Virginia @ Maryland (Saturday 12:30pm from Byrd Stadium live on ACC Network-WJZ 13 in Charm City); Troy @ Navy (Saturday 3:30pm from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium live on CBS College Sports); Towson @ Maine (Saturday 12:30pm from Orino, Maine live on AM1570; Franklin & Marshall @ Johns Hopkins (Saturday 12pm Homewood Field); Albright @ Stevenson (Saturday 1pm Mustang Stadium)

I’m well aware that the Terrapins stink, but it doesn’t change the fact that the word “Wahoo” is just awful in every way and dressing like a preppy douche is embarrassing. Greetings, Cavaliers fans!

I’m well aware there aren’t a ton of positive memories from this series over the years, but here’s this.

God I wish Dave Matthews Band didn’t come from Charlottesville. It would make it so much easier to hate that whole place.

1. NFL: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday 8:30pm from Pittsburgh live on NBC)

I’m just going to not say anything. I’ve said plenty over the years and haven’t always felt good.

So I hope the Ravens win Sunday night. That’s all.

Flexing my mic muscles since 1983…
