Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. Harlem Globetrotters (Saturday & Sunday Patriot Center)

Do the Trotters still play the Washington Generals? Is there a new team? And another important question-can the Trotters still win even after the passing of the great Bob Denver???

7. NBA: Washington Wizards @ New Jersey Nets (Wednesday 7:30pm from Newark, NJ live on Comcast SportsNet), Indiana Pacers @ Washington Wizards (Thursday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet PLUS), Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards (Saturday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Washington Wizards @ Boston Celtics (Sunday 6pm from Boston live on Comcast SportsNet), Detroit Pistons @ Washington Wizards (Monday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet)

Nene starts playing for the Zards this week. I don’t expect you to care, I was just in a sharing mood.

This is a poll. Which is greater: Taj Gibson’s dunk or Stacey King’s call?

Both were just fantastic.

6. Auto Racing: NASCAR Auto Club 400 (Sunday 2:30pm from Fontana, CA live on FOX); IndyCar Series Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (Sunday 12:30pm from St. Petersburg, FL live on ABC)

I honestly don’t care about anything related to any of this. I could post a picture of a half-naked Danica Patrick here, but I’ve gone down that road one too many times recently.

You know what we haven’t talked about here yet? The Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell. Has anyone tried them?

I’ve been dying to try them, but it would break my nearly decade long commitment to NEVER EATING TACO BELL EVER.

5. Golf: PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard (Thursday & Friday 3pm live on Golf Channel Saturday & Sunday 2:30pm live on NBC. All golf from Orlando); Champions Tour Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic (Friday 12:30pm Saturday & Sunday 2:30pm from Biloxi, MS live on Golf Channel); LPGA Tour Kia Classic (Thursday-Saturday 6:30pm Sunday 7pm from Carlsbad, CA live on Golf Channel)

Tiger Woods is playing this weekend. Also playing this weekend is last week’s winner, whoever the eff that was.

This weekend’s event is Arnold Palmer’s event. Remember the Family Guy episode with the fake TV show “Old People Agree With Arnold Palmer”?

I saw the episode the other day. Palmer was telling everyone how great tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches were. Which made me think-shouldn’t the show have been called “All People Agree With Arnold Palmer”?
