Boy…..I like a LOT of these things….

First of all, this makes me feel like St. Patrick’s Day…..

This makes me want to watch PCU…..

There really AIN’T no rest for the wicked…..

And I’m starting to think it should be illegal to make movies WITHOUT Tracy Morgan….

9. Mixed Martial Arts: Strikeforce Challengers 6 (Friday 11pm from San Jose, CA live on Showtime)

Strikeforce was RED HOT in 2009, thanks to Fedor Emelianenko, Bobby Lashley and now Herschel Walker. Now they’re adding Dan Henderson, who’s expected to face Jake Shields in Nashville in April. These things are all well and good, but I feel like there was another important name that helped bring Strikeforce to the forefront….

Oh yeah, her. More of her please, Strikeforce.

8. Golf: PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open (Thursday-Sunday 4pm from Scottsdale, AZ live on Golf Channel) LPGA HSBC Women’s Champions (Thursday & Friday 12:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 1pm from Singapore live on Golf Channel)

Not everything about my two year stint in Phoenix was great, but the Phoenix Open ABSOLUTELY ranked amongst the best. The TPC Scottsdale is the ONLY place where this could have happened…

It’s also the only golf tournament….IN THE WORLD….where the AVERAGE fan looked like this…..

(Editor’s note: You see what I did there? I referenced Tiger Woods and hot chicks in the same post and they had NOTHING to do with each other! You know what that makes me? A Pro-fess-ion-al. I suggest others of you do the same thing. And that advice….is FREE!)

7. Monster Jam (Friday-Sunday 1st Mariner Arena)

If you’re not a fan of Grave Digger, get out of my country!

I’m not kidding. If you don’t think Monster Jam kicks ASS, I don’t want to have ANYTHING to do with you….

6. NBA-Grizzlies @ Wizards (Wednesday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Knicks @ Wizards (Friday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Wizards @ Nets (Sunday 6pm from East Rutherford, NJ live on Comcast SportsNet)

It should be a crime that sports fans have to pay real honest to God money to see a game between the ‘Zards and Nets!!! I know Jimmy Kimmel agrees….

5. College Lacrosse: Delaware @ Johns Hopkins (Tuesday 5pm from Homewood Field live on ESPNU), Siena @ Johns Hopkins (Sunday 12pm from Homewood Field live on ESPNU); Maryland @ Georgetown (Saturday 2pm from Georgetown Multi-Sport Field live on ABC2/ESPNU); Loyola @ Quinnipiac (Saturday 1pm from Hamden, Conn. live on AM1570 WNST); Bucknell @ Towson (Saturday 1pm Unitas Stadium); North Carolina @ Navy (Thursday 7pm from Navy-Marine Corps Stadium live on CBS College Sports)

The Tuesday night showdown between the Blue Hens and the Blue Jays is immediately amongst the most color compelling in all of sports. If only there was a way to have a Tournament that also involved the Blue Devils, the Blue Bombers, the Blues, the Blue Man Group, Blue October and the Astro Bluebonnet Bowl; my head might explode.

Of course, the mascot of such an event would have to be Rebecca Romijn as a mascot….

4. Soccer: Team USA vs. El Salvador (Wednesday 7pm from Tampa Bay live on ESPN Classic), Baltimore Blast @ Philadelphia KiXX (Saturday 4:05pm streamed live on

Whatever happens in this match, I just PRAY Jozy Altidore doesn’t repeat the last match against El Salvador and go to the Stanky Leg……

…..Just brutal!

3. Winter Olympics (Live coverage Tuesday 3pm & 8pm NBC, 12pm USA, 10pm MSNBC, 5pm CNBC; Wednesday 3pm & 8pm NBC, 5pm MSNBC, 7pm CNBC; Thursday 3pm & 8pm NBC, 12pm USA, 2pm & 6pm MSNBC, 5pm CNBC; Friday 3pm & 8pm NBC, 12pm USA, 3:30pm MSNBC, 6pm CNBC; Saturday 1pm & 8pm NBC, 12pm USA, 10pm MSNBC, 6pm CNBC; Sunday 12pm & 7pm-Closing Ceremonies-NBC. All Olympic action from Vancouver.)

The big events this week are of course figure skating and hockey. Good news all around. Figure skating sucks, but Pam from “The Office” (Jenna Fischer) was hot in “Blades of Glory”…..

Plus, Sasha Cohen was in Blades of Glory AND she’s skating in Vancouver AND she can do this….

And for the record, I believe in miracles….

2. NFL Scouting Combine (Thursday-Monday from Indianapolis, coverage live throughout weekend on NFL Network)

Is there any truth to the rumor that I recently purchased a Drew Brees jersey to wear to Indy this weekend for the Combine? I guess we’ll just have to find out….

In the meantime, I want to again thank the NFL for holding the Combine in Indianapolis. Nowhere else in the world I’d rather not be more….

Of course, I guess we can stop by St. Elmo’s. I don’t eat red meat, but I might be willing to re-consider…..

1. College Basketball: Clemson @ Maryland (Wednesday 9pm from Comcast Center live on Raycom/WNUV 54 locally), Maryland @ Virginia Tech (Saturday 4pm from Blacksburg, VA live on Raycom/WNUV 54 locally); Norfolk State @ Morgan State (Saturday 4pm Hill Field House), North Carolina A&T @ Morgan State (Monday 9pm from Hill Field House live on ESPNU); Delaware @ Towson (Saturday 4pm Towson Center); Canisius @ Loyola (Friday 7pm Reitz Arena), Manhattan @ Loyola (Sunday 1pm Reitz Arena); North Carolina A&T @ Coppin State (Saturday 4pm Coppin State Physical Education Complex), Norfolk State @ Coppin State (Monday 7:30pm Coppin State Physical Education Complex)

I’m a bit disappointed I won’t be able to make the trip to Blacksburg Saturday. Not because Blacksburg is a pleasant place or I enjoy much of ANYTHING about VTU, but mostly because I wouldn’t mind bumping into these gals….

Flexing my mic muscles since 1983…..
