After being suspended with pay for nearly two weeks, Morgan State basketball coach Todd Bozeman was reinstated by the school on Thursday night and will return to the sideline on Saturday when the Bears take on North Carolina A&T, according to

Bozeman had been suspended for Morgan’s last three games after an allegation that he hit senior guard Larry Bastfield in the closing minutes of a win at South Carolina State on Jan. 7. The SCSU president George Cooper made the accusation.

“I was told to report back to work tomorrow morning,” Bozeman told “I’m looking forward to getting back to the team and practice.”

The Bears went 1-2 during Bozeman’s suspension, winning their most recent game against Hampton on Monday night.

The coach was restricted from games and practices during the suspension as the school conducted an investigation that required Bozeman to appear before a special committee. Bozeman had been left in limbo regarding his status until Thursday night when he received a call to return to work on Friday.
