CBS Sports To Televise Navy-Notre Dame Game In Prime Time
ANNAPOLIS, Md.—CBS Sports announced today that the Navy-Notre Dame game will be televised nationally to a prime time audience with a scheduled 8 PM kickoff at FedExField in Landover, Md.
This is believed to be the first time a Navy football game has been televised live in prime time on an over-the-air network (ABC, NBC or CBS) and it is also believed to be the first night game in the 87-game history of the longest continuous intersectional rivalry in the country.
CBS will televise the Florida-Georgia game at 3:30 PM to serve as a lead-in to the Navy-Notre Dame game.
Last year, Notre Dame hung on for a 38-34 victory over Navy when the Irish stopped the Mids on a fourth-and-four play deep inside Notre Dame’s territory with 68 seconds remaining.
Tickets remain for the Navy-Notre Dame game as well as Navy-Ohio State and all five games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Click here to buy tickets online: http://www.navysports.com/
