#1 – Marvin Webster, Morgan State

A Baltimore kid from Edmonson High School, Marvin Webster starred at Morgan State before a 10-year professional career that included nine seasons in the NBA.

HERE’S A RE-CAP OF WEBSTER’S CAREER FROM HIS OBITUARY 

If it looks like Webster did it all at Morgan State, that’s because he did.

And in the history of Baltimore college basketball, he’s the best player we’ve ever seen.

    Great list. I would offer a few other names for an honorable mention list: Roger Dickens (TSU), Pat McKinley (TSU), Brian Matthews (TSU), Ronald Smith (U of B), Tony Carter (Coppin St), Yarborough Roberts (Morgan St), and Teddy Jones (U of B).
