#WNSTSweet16 list highlights Baltimore’s best ever college hoopsters

#10 – Eric Evans, Morgan State

Long before Reggie Holmes showed up at Morgan State to become the school’s all-time leading scorer, there was a guy named Eric Evans who could put the ball in the cylinder with the best of them.

Evans is currently MSU’s 3rd leading all-time scorer (1,949 points) and actually only finished 41 points shy of Marvin Webster (#2 on the list) and played in thirteen fewer games than he did.

Great list. I would offer a few other names for an honorable mention list: Roger Dickens (TSU), Pat McKinley (TSU), Brian Matthews (TSU), Ronald Smith (U of B), Tony Carter (Coppin St), Yarborough Roberts (Morgan St), and Teddy Jones (U of B).

  2. Chris Oswald Says:

Excellent List and research, Drew. Struck a chord of many memories of greatness. My only honorable mention would be, Maurice “Mo” Cannon (Loyola College).
