Wake 68, Maryland 61
I just don’t see how Maryland competes with Wake’s size. I think they can compete; but I don’t see Eric Hayes keeping Wake honest with 5-6 shooting from outside again. I think this one dooms the Terps to the NIT.
UMBC 67, Binghamton 64
Binghamton has had a hell of a season; but I’ll go with the team that was there a season ago. I like the veteran presence of Greene and Proctor more than the studs the Bearcats have.
Morgan State 73, Coppin State 64
And the Bears will go on to beat Norfolk State for the MEAC title and their first NCAA Tournament appearance.
Let’s see what everyone else has to say…..

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-Congratulations to SunTrust Athlete of the Morning-a combo pair-Jess Harlee and Rachel Holehouse from Fallston. The duo combined to score 48 points as the Cougars topped Largo in the 3A semifinals down at the RAC Arena in Catonsville. The Cougars will play Paint Branch Saturday for the 3A title.
Lacrosse picks:
-Maryland 10, UMBC 6. It’s been a struggle to score for the Retrievers; who I don’t think can slow down the Terps enough to win.
-Syracuse 13, Hopkins 12. I think Hopkins will prove more in a loss than they have yet this season in a win.
-Loyola 7, St. John’s 5. I don’t think the Red Storm is as good as the team that beat Georgetown.
-Virginia 13, Towson 5. The Cavaliers are a different class than the Tigers.
Talk to you tomorrow.
