Monday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

November 10, 2008 | Glenn Clark

It was a great win. It was a fun win. It was good to see Todd Heap step up, especially with Mason getting hurt. Haloti Ngata continues to amaze.Once again, we’ll play it week by week. If the Ravens beat or even hang close with the Giants next Sunday; they’re an AFC Championship contender. If they get blown out; they’re still a playoff contender.

But let’s take it week by week. And let’s get Joe Flacco to work on taking sacks. And not throwing the ball where his best receiver can get hurt!

Let’s see what everyone else has to say……..

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:-Congratulations to SunTrust Athlete of the Morning Tony Johnson…..the Fallston RB who had 5 TD’s in the Cougars’ 35-14 victory over Rising Sun. Congratulations to our other nominees as well; including Poly RB John Marcus (2 TD’s in the 2nd half as Poly rallied from down 13-0 to beat City 16-13); Fallston Senior Derek Hyde (game winner as Fallston beat La Plata 1-0 in the state semifinals); his cousin Marissa Hyde (6 saves as Fallston’s girls’ team advanced to the state finals as well); and the VERY deserving Zack Kane (12th clean sheet of season as Perry Hall beat Magruder to advance to state finals).

Talk to you tomorrow.
