Monday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

January 19, 2009 | Glenn Clark

Ugh.

The Steelers were ABSOLUTELY the better team last night; and it wasn’t particularly close. They were better offensively, defensively; and mostly better on special teams. The Ravens were out-worked, out-coached, and out-classed.

And yet; with 5 minutes left, the Ravens still had a chance. And Heinz Field (most overrated fans in all of sports……AGAIN) was SCARED. The Daren Stone penalty was KILLER.

I’ll have more thoughts on what was an amazing season as the week goes on; but this one is still not sitting well with me.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say…..

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:

-Congratulations to SunTrust Athlete of the Morning Brandon Floyd; who had 31 points for Loyola this weekend; in a Friday night win over Gibbons and a Sunday loss to Towson Catholic.

-Vermont 74, UMBC 63. Too quick to bounce back from a tough win Saturday and go on the road.
-Morgan State 80, Bethune-Cookman 69. I DO think the Bears will bounce back though; as Todd Bozeman probably had a nice teaching session after the Florida A&M loss.
-Florida A&M 71, Coppin State 57. The Bears are typically late-starters; but they have to start at SOME point.

Talk to you tomorrow.

-G
