Navy-Central Michigan Football Game to Air on ESPN2

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University on Wednesday announced its 2012 Homecoming date, as well as a change to this fall’s football schedule.

The Chippewas’ Homecoming game will be Saturday, Oct. 20 against Ball State. CMU also will sponsor the annual Take a Kid to the Game Day promotion on Oct. 20. Kickoff time for the contest has yet to be determined.

CMU also announced that its home game against Navy has been selected for a primetime national telecast on ESPN2. The game will move from Saturday, Oct. 13 to Friday, Oct. 12. Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. ESPN2 has reached an average of nearly 600,000 viewers per night over the last two years.

Friday, Oct. 12 vs. Navy: Military Appreciation Night
Saturday, Oct. 20 vs. Ball State: Homecoming/Take a Kid to the Game Day
Saturday, Oct. 27 vs. Akron: Band Day/Hall of Fame Day
Saturday, Nov. 3 vs. Western Michigan: Rocket Football Day
Saturday, Nov. 17 vs. Miami: Community Celebration Day
