COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The NCAA officially announced dates and times for this weekend’s Super Regional round on Tuesday. The best-of-three series between Maryland and Virginia will be held June 7-9 at Davenport Field in Charlottesville.
The series’ first pitch is scheduled for noon Saturday with game two set for Sunday at noon. If necessary, the third game is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday. All three games will be televised on ESPN2.
Maryland (39-21) is making its first-ever appearance in the Super Regionals following a three-game sweep of the Columbia Regional. The Terps earned a walk-off win over Old Dominion in the opener between defeating top-seeded South Carolina on consecutive nights.
The winner of the super regional will advance to the College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.
