Maryland lost out on the Harrison twins to Kentucky a couple weeks ago, but they certainly didn’t sulk over the decision.

They went right back to work in improving their team for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Maryland coach Mark Turgeon got a verbal commitment Tuesday from #39th ranked Rivals.com guard Roddy Peters, who stands at 6’4 out of Suitland High School.

Terps assistant Dalonte Hill was big in his recruitment given his relationship with Peter’s AAU team, the D.C. Assault.

Peters had drawn interest from Xavier, UCLA, Kansas, Georgetown, Rutgers, Seton Hall, and Memphis.

He averaged 23 PPG, 5.2 APG, and 2.4 steals per game.
