They SHOULDN’T have played last night’s game. That being said, Ron Gardenhire can’t really complain that they did. Major League Baseball rules dictate that a game is official after 5; and his team was losing at that point.
But clearly they shouldn’t have been trying to play baseball last night. Officials probably didn’t think they could get 2 games in today given the questionable weather, but that’s probably why series aren’t usually scheduled for 2 days.
