Thursday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

July 16, 2009 | Glenn Clark

If your reaction to the Terrell Suggs contract is “I can’t believe how much money he got considering he’s not even the best player at his position”; I fully understand where you’re coming from. While Suggs clearly received his market value, that value does seem to be a bit pricey. I’d rather him get that value wearing purple and black than in San Diego’s baby blue however.
If your reaction to the Terrell Suggs contract is “athletes make too much money”, I think you are probably better off not being a sports fan.

This is the way things work. The guys get what the market dictates. As a fan, you’ll probably have to adapt to it.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say……

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:

-As far as my own personal Orioles report card; I’d give my highest praise to Luke Scott, Brad Bergesen, and Adam Jones; who all deserve A’s in my mind. George Sherrill would get an A-, and that would be the extent of my high grades.

Talk to you tomorrow.
