Nestor said it right this morning.
If you could take any ONE player to start a team that had to win NEXT SEASON; there would be a serious argument for Ed Reed.
He’s been THAT good recently. He’s been THAT much of a difference maker.
Everyone in football wants to have an Ed Reed on their team. I used to be in the camp that Polamalu might be better than Reed; but I’m out of that camp again.
Ed Reed IS the best defensive player in football. That doesn’t mean that he deserved Defensive player of the year honors; but he is absolutely the best defensive player in football.
And he’d be somewhere in my Top 5 players (non-QB) to start a team with and win. With Brian Westbrook, James Harrison, Andre Johnson, and maybe even Calvin Johnson.
Let’s see what everyone else has to say….

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-It’s a shame things didn’t work out with Josh Portis at Maryland. I don’t think he was ever destined to be a star; but he certainly could have been a contributor. That would have been very nice.
