If the Ravens want to pursue Marvin Harrison; that’s fine with me…..
…….IF (and only if) they are pursuing him as a complementary option to the number 1 receiver they are also looking to obtain.
Marvin Harrison is NOT the answer at wide receiver. But he could be part of the solution for one season if nothing else. Harrison can still play, but he will be 37 years old when the 2009 season begins. He cannot be counted on as a number 1 receiver; and the Ravens need to find a more long-term option at the position.
But if the Ravens are interested in signing Marvin Harrison and drafting Darrius Heyward-Bey (or a similar receiver); that COULD answer the wide receiver solution.
There are a lot of “ifs” involved there.
Let’s see what everyone else has to say…..

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-Split vote for SunTrust Athlete of the Morning. Horace Jackson will be our winner; as he scored 23 points last night to lift Aberdeen to the UCBAC Championship 66-52 over Havre De Grace. Congratulations also to Laura Simanski; the daughter of WNST friend Anne Boone-Simanski; who plays lacrosse at Cincinnati. Simanski (Roland Park) scored 6 goals this weekend as the Bearcats beat Robert Morris; and was named Big East player of the week yesterday. Congratulations to both!
Talk to you tomorrow.
