Wednesday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

April 08, 2009 | Glenn Clark

Anybody wanna play guess the attendance for tonight? It’s not going to be a historically low number like the first night game has been in recent years; I’ll even say it will push 30k. I’ll make 28,465 my official guess.

In response the Teixeira nonsense in recent days; I will remind everyone that Monday was a “perfect storm” for Orioles fans. We have needed something to rally around for 8 years now, with the last opportunity to rally coming on Cal’s final night in 2001. It was time for all of our pent up emotion to come out somehow, and the Yankees, Teixeira, Opening Day, and just a little bit of hope all swirled to provide that perfect storm.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say…..

-I hope everyone is paying attention to what is going on with Pimlico and Preakness. No matter what you think about Horse Racing, this is a vital issue to our community; sports or otherwise.

Talk to you tomorrow.
