Wednesday Morning’s Crabs and Beer

June 03, 2009 | Glenn Clark

Troy Smith will ABSOLUTELY be used as a hybrid player this season. The Ravens did not go out and get John Beck to just have two back-up quarterbacks. Beck is an insurance policy so Troy Smith CAN be used at other positions. The Ravens need to open up their offense more due to their lack of downfield options at receiver. Troy Smith will allow them to do that.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say….

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:

-I would ABSOLUTELY approve of the Orioles attempting to re-acquire Erik Bedard in the offseason. Watching games like that last night made me yearn for a pitcher who could be counted on every 5 days. He’s not an ace, but he’s a very good pitcher. I’ll even take the baggage.

Talk to you tomorrow.
