Two apologies to start today. First apology is to Steve Bisciotti; whose name I HAVE misspelled on multiple occasions. As I said in my comments yesterday; that was lazy on my part, and I am very sorry for that. To the many others who I found to be spelling his name wrong (include someone who writes for the team’s Official Website and has his checks SIGNED by Mr. Bisciotti); we should all work to make sure we don’t do that anymore. I won’t name names because I am not in the business of playing editor for anyone.
Second apology to Casey Willett; as my words were not written the way they were meant yesterday. I did not mean to say I don’t respect Casey’s opinions on College Sports; but instead I meant to say his opinions on College Sports “fandom.” It was an attempt to have some fun during Maryland-Duke week, but it did not type the way I thought it would it my head.
That being said, I’m so glad Bob Haynie took some time today to talk about his own person “Why do I hate Duke?” story. I would really like to see some more excitement this week; as Maryland has a very good chance to defeat their second straight Top 5 opponent Sunday night.
That being said, I once tried to put together a list of the Top 10 most hated athletes in Baltimore Sports Fan history. I’d love to take a straw poll on the Top 10 most hated teams/franchises in Baltimore Sports Fan history today if you’d be willing to participate.
My ideas (in absolutely NO order) would be:
Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
UNC Tar Heels
Duke Blue Devils
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
New York Mets
New York Jets
Let’s see what everyone else has to say….

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:
-I really don’t have a preference between Shurmur and Cameron as far as who becomes the Ravens’ next Offensive Coordinator. Whoever is the best fit to work with John Harbaugh; that’s who should be hired. A Coordinator shouldn’t be hired to work for a first time Head Coach just because he is available. Mike Martz only caused problems in Detroit.
-Felix Pie would be a very nice acquisition for the Orioles; but trading away Brian Roberts and Erik Bedard would still have to notch some pitching; even if Pie is in the deal.
-Congratulations to Randy Monroe and UMBC on another well-played win today. Go see Towson tonight.
-Will anyone be any more interested in Loyola Lacrosse this season because Duke transfer Colin Finnerty is on the team? I actually am.
Talk to you tomorrow.
