Week 5 was kind to me as I went 9-5 with my fearless predictions, bringing the season’s total to 41 wins against 33 losses. Here goes week 6’s forecast:

Broncos at Chargers: No uncertainty at quarterback for the Chargers as I am going to go with Philip Rivers over the Denver defense in what promises to be a wacky AFC West match up.

Niners at Bills: Hard to pick against the surging Bills at home. I don’t think Colin Kaepernick starting for the Niners will give them enough of a lift to overcome the Bills.

Eagles at Redskins: Carson Wentz and company let one get away from them in Detroit last week but that won’t be the case in our nation’s capital. Jordan Reed is probably out with a concussion and that adds to the ‘Skins’ woes.

Browns at Titans: There’s no quarterback on their current roster that the Browns can roll out that can touch Marcus Mariota’s talent. Perhaps the Browns will draft one in the spring, as they sink to 0-6.

Panthers at Saints: Drew Brees and company will add another nail to the Panthers’ coffin. Carolina’s defense is a shadow of what it was a year ago.

Jaguars at Bears: The Jags are starting to look like a real NFL team while Da Bears continue to slide. John Fox should have known better than to take this job.

Rams at Lions: The Lions look to defend their home turf and even their record to 3-3 against the somewhat surprising Rams. I’ll go with the better QB in this match up.

Steelers at Dolphins: This one should be over well before halftime. Steelers’ offense is going to be impossible to stop by the ‘Fins. Le’Veon Bell take their “O” to another level.

Bengals at Patriots: Andy Dalton is feeling the adverse effects of Hue Jackson’s departure. Plus The Bengals o-line can’t run block nor pass block. They’re in trouble at Foxboro for sure.

Chiefs at Raiders: I’m drinking the silver and black Kool-Aid here.  I’m believing in David Carr, Jack Del Rio and company.

Falcons at Seahawks: I picked against the Falcons last week (and lost) and I’m going to pick against them once again this week. If they win no doubt I’ll be eating crow.

Cowboys at Packers: I’ve like what the Cowboys have done so far with their rookie QB and RB. But it’s tough to picture them winning at Lambeau, particularly with their defense.

Colts at Texans: Things have gone way wrong in Indy, and Andrew Luck is going to have a hard time winning at NRG Stadium. Plus Colts defense suspect to say the least.

Jets at Cardinals: ‘Zona pulled it together while the Jets dropped another one last week. Todd Bowles said the Jets have to learn how to win again, and he’s right. But it won’t be this week.

Ravens at Giants: Baltimore changed offensive coordinators this week as the charismatic Marty Mornhinweg looks to jump start their offense. I think it will work as the Ravens defense is stout enough to win on the road.
