Maryland, Loyola, Towson dancing; Hopkins’ streak ends at 41

BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland men’s lacrosse received an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Championships and will travel to Durham, N.C., for a Sunday, May 12, game at Duke University.Sunday’s game at Koskinen Stadium is slated for a 5:15 p.m. start and will be televised on ESPNU.

The Blue Devils enters the tournament as the seventh seed with a 12-5 record. They lost to North Carolina, 18-17, in the Atlantic Coast Conference Semifinal on Friday, April 26, before closing their season with a 19-3 victory today at Marquette.

Loyola faced Duke earlier this season in Durham, and the Blue Devils outscored the Greyhounds 5-3 in the fourth quarter for a 9-8 victory.

The Greyhounds, who are making their second-straight tournament appearance and third in the last four years, commence this year’s championships with an 11-4 record.
