KELVIN AMAYO’S ELIGIBILITY WAIVER DENIED BY NCAA
Basketball Standout Was Hoping To Play For Tigers
TOWSON, Md. – Freshman prospect Kelvin Amayo, a 6-4 guard from Riverside, N.J., will not be playing basketball for Towson University, according to Coach Pat Skerry.
“This morning our compliance office was notified by the NCAA that our eligibility waiver for Kelvin Amayo has been denied,” said Coach Skerry, the Tigers’ first-year head coach. ”While we at Towson are disappointed with the result, we respect the NCAA and accept its ruling. Kelvin is certainly disappointed, as he had hoped to continue his goal of working towards a college education, and a degree at our wonderful institution this fall. He and his family will now explore other opportunities.”
