TOWSON, Md. – On a very warm Tuesday afternoon, the Tiger conducted their 20th practice of the pre-season.

During the practice, Defensive Line Coach Konstantinos Kosmakos continued to evaluate the candidates for playing time on the line. The Tigers lost three starters, Matt Morgan, Romale Tucker and Frank Beltre, to graduation.

Senior Arnold Farmer is the only starter returning on the defensive line and he will probably be joined by three newcomers.

“Everyone is competing very well,” says Kosmakos. “We should have a very deep group. We’ll probably rotate a lot of guys like we did last year.”

Junior Ryan Delaire, a transfer from Massachusetts, is a newcomer on the defensive line.

Veterans Drew Cheripko and Brendon Gannon also return while Jon Desir figures to play a larger role than last season. Sophomores Greg Grant and Tungie Coker will also be part of the rotation.

“We have good balance with this group,” added Kosmakos. “They have a terrific work ethic.”

The Tigers hold their annual Picture Day on Wednesday.
