TIGERS SIGN 15 RECRUITS TO
NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT
TOWSON, Md. – A group of 15 promising student-athletes, including six from the state of Florida, highlight Coach Rob Ambrose’s second recruiting class for Towson University.
In addition to six recruits from Florida, Coach Ambrose has added three newcomers from Maryland, along with two from Virginia and New Jersey. North Carolina and Pennsylvania each have one representative.
“Our staff worked very hard to address the foundation of our positions and year-to-year needs,” said Coach Ambrose, the Tigers’ second-year coach. “At the same time, we expanded our institutional brand on a national basis.
“We owe many thanks to those individuals, both on and off-campus, who invested their time and contributed to the success of recruiting this group of student-athletes.”
Of the Tigers’ six recruits from Florida, two of them are transfer students. Defensive back Jordan Dangerfield has transferred from Hofstra University while quarterback Chris Hart is a transfer from Georgia Military College.
Wide receiver Justen Davis of Alonso High School, cornerback LaTrayon Fagins of Southeast High School, wide receiver Arione Scott of Nova High School and kicker Derek Soven of Cypress Bay High School complete the contingent from Florida.
Additionally, defensive back Thomas Bradley of Richard Montgomery High School, linebacker Trey Jackson of Howard High School and cornerback Everett Weldon of Gwynn Park High School represent Maryland in the Tigers’ recruiting class.
From Virginia, the Tigers have signed tight end Daniel Vaughan of Oscar F. Smith High School and linebacker Derek Wright of Kings Fork High School.
Linebacker Kyle Polk of Piscataway High School and offensive guard T.C. Sweeney of Don Bosco Prep have joined the Tigers’ program from New Jersey.
Cornerback Corey Ford of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pa. and kicker Bryce Thompson of Providence High School in Matthews, N.C. complete the Tigers’ recruiting class.
