Now 9-2 on the season, the Tigers posted a 7-1 record in the CAA after defeating Rhode Island by a 28-17 margin on Saturday afternoon for their third straight win. The win capped off one of the most successful regular seasons in school history and completed a tremendous turnaround for the Tigers, who were 1-10 last year.

Led by sophomore quarterback Grant Enders, the Tigers overcame a 10-0 first quarter deficit to earn the win. Enders, a two-time selection as the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, completed 20 of 26 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the Tigers by rushing for 60 yards on nine carries.

Freshman tailback Terrance West, who leads the Tigers in rushing with 1,242 yards, was limited to just 52 yards against the Rams on Saturday. However, he scored two rushing touchdowns, upping his NCAA FCS-leading total to 27 in 10 games this season.

Currently 10-1, the Patriot League champion Mountain Hawks have won nine straight games following a 37-13 victory over Lafayette on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Stadium. The Mountain Hawks will be making their second straight appearance in the NCAA FCS playoffs after reaching the second round last year.

The Tigers and the Mountain Hawks will be meeting for the 12th time in a series that Lehigh leads by a 10-1 margin. However, the teams have not met since 2003 when Lehigh earned a 35-3 victory over the Tigers. Towson’s lone win in the series came in 2002 when the Tigers edged Lehigh by a 23-19 margin at Unitas Stadium.
