Towson Women Hit WNST Airwaves Sunday Afternoon

TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger women’s basketball game at Drexel on Sunday, Jan. 8 at Drexel will be broadcast on WNST-AM 1570.

Spiro Morekas and Zach Maskavich will be handling the call for Sunday’s broadcast.

The Tigers enter Sunday’s contest with a 10-3 overall record and a 1-1 mark in Colonial Athletic Association play. Krystal Parnell leads the team as she is averaging 12.6 points per game with 48 assists. Nyree Williams leads Towson on the boards as she is pulling down 9.8 rebounds per game.

Drexel comes into the game with a 5-7 record and 1-1 in CAA play. The Dragons have lost four straight following a 76-65 setback at Hofstra on Thursday night.

Sunday’s game is the first of four broadcasts on WNST for the Tigers this season. The Tigers’ game against UNC Wilmington on Jan. 29 along with Towson’s game against Georgia State on Sunday, Feb. 5.

The Tigers’ four-game WNST schedule will conclude on Feb. 26 when they host Drexel in the final home game of the regular season.
