Tuesday Top 7……
7-Willis McGahee (me)/Frank Walker (Drew)
I think McGahee’s diving catch was better than his TD run. Drew thinks Walker might think pretty highly of himself, but definitely played well.
6-Jared Gaither (me)/Chris Chester (Drew)
I was hoping to honor all 3 Tackles; as I still can’t figure out how the unbalanced line continues to work. Gaither is the best of the bunch however. Drew is continuously impressed by Chester; but I guess we all are.
5-Le’Ron McClain (me, Drew)
Want your Le’Ron McClain “Brings the Pain” T-shirt? Listen at 5am tomorrow. Want to feel the brute force of a bulky running back barreling you over at the goal line? Be a Jacksonville Jaguars defender.
4-Ray Lewis (me, Drew)
Is there a rule somewhere that says that every time a football hits the ground, Ray Lewis has to be the one to get it? I was playing a backyard game with my cousins on Christmas and I’m pretty sure 52 had two fumble recoveries.
3-Mark Clayton (me), Ed Reed (Drew)
This is pretty elementary; as we flip these two at Number 2. I think Mark Clayton was become an absolute weapon; Drew just wants Reed to hold on to the football.
2-Ed Reed (me), Mark Clayton (Drew)
Amazingly; Ed Reed actually won my points voting for the season; but is NOT my Team MVP.
1-Joe Flacco (me, Drew)
Flacco certainly IS Drew’s team MVP; and he’ll get $26 from me next Tuesday if he tells the QB “I Love You” on the air. It’s not a question of whether or not Drew loves Flacco-we ALL love Flacco. It’s just a question of whether or not he’s comfortable telling him.
As far as Team MVP is concerned……..
DERRICK MASON
Every time I watched Derrick Mason play this season; all I could think was “Thank God this guy wears purple.” He’s been the best in my mind; but my Top 5 would go….
1-Mason
2-Ed Reed
3-Ray Lewis
4-Joe Flacco
5-Le’Ron McClain
Let’s see what everyone else has to say……
