Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. Soccer: Team USA Women @ Germany (Friday 12:15pm from Offenbach, GER live on, MLS-DC United @ Sporting Kansas City (Friday 8:30pm from Kansas City, KS live on MLS Live)

I just realized how long it’s been since we checked in on Alex Morgan…

Welp. Everything’s alright here. Moving right along.

7. Tennis: Davis Cup-Serbia vs. Team USA (Friday 3:30pm Saturday 3pm Sunday 2pm from Boise live on Tennis Channel)

You would think Team USA would have little chance against a team lead by Novak Djokovic, but you didn’t know Novak Djokovic lost to 134 year old Tommy Haas last week. So, yeah.

Also, Aggie Radwanska did something pretty neat last week in Miami…

6. High School Basketball: McDonald’s All American Games (Girls Wednesday 7pm from Chicago live on ESPNU Boys Wednesday 9:30pm from Chicago live on ESPN)

I’m not a McDonald’s fan, but there is another fast food joint (whose food) I can get behind. They actually did something quite clever for April Fool’s Day…

5. NBA: Chicago Bulls @ Washington Wizards (Tuesday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Washington Wizards @ Toronto Raptors (Wednesday 7pm from Toronto live on Comcast SportsNet), Indiana Pacers @ Washington Wizards (Saturday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet PLUS), Washington Wizards @ Boston Celtics (Sunday 6pm from Boston live on Comcast SportsNet)

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer tried this one Monday for April Fool’s Day. And now I remember why April Fool’s Day is complete nonsense.

Listen to you every day (streaming). I lived in Baltimore for 56 years and moved to Iowa 4 years ago. I still support all the local teams from 1,000 miles away, but you are really out of your mind if you think Baltimore or Maryland is better than Iowa. There isn’t enough space available for me to list the reasons! I’m rooting for the Terps tonight, but get your facts straight about the State of Iowa and everything pertaining.

    Enjoy your show!

(Edit from Glenn: I’m just practicing my Big Ten smack-talk! Being in the ACC, I’d tell you I hate North Carolina but truth be told I go out of my way to get down there for barbecue with regularity.

But I’m actually looking forward a great deal to an Iowa-Maryland football game in Iowa City. I’ll be making the trip for sure.)
