Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. Golf: PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship (Thursday & Friday 3pm live on Golf Channel Saturday & Sunday 1pm live on Golf Channel 3pm live on CBS. All golf from Charlotte, NC); Champions Tour Insperity Championship (Friday 7:30pm Saturday & Sunday 2:30pm from The Woodlands, TX live on Golf Channel); LPGA Kingsmill Championship (Thursday & Friday 12:30pm Saturday & Sunday 3pm from Williamsburg, VA live on Golf Channel)

We all know I don’t care about golf, and since last weekend’s PGA Tour event was the Zurich Classic we also know no one else did either. Except the winner of course, and even I can admit this reaction from Billy Horschel was actually halfway neat.

7. Auto Racing: NASCAR Aaron’s 499 (Sunday 1pm from Talladega, AL live on FOX); IndyCar Sao Paulo Indy 300 (Sunday 11am from Sao Paulo, Brazil live on NBC Sports Network)

After the Nationwide Series race at Richmond this weekend, driver Nelson Piquet Jr. kicked fellow driver Brian Scott in the nads. Because apparently Nelson Piquet Jr. is the tomboy girl from the playground when you were eight years old (you know, the one that came back and kissed you the next day to teach you the first lesson of your life about just how freaking crazy chicks are).

6. NBA Playoffs: Western Conference Playoffs-Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors (Game 5 Tuesday 8pm from Denver live on TNT Game 6 if necessary Thursday TBA from Oakland live on TNT Game 7 if necessary Saturday TBA from Denver live on TNT), Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies (Game 5 Tuesday 10:30pm from Los Angeles live on TNT Game 6 Friday TBA from Memphis live on ESPN Game 7 if necessary Sunday TBA from Los Angeles live on TBA); Eastern Conference Playoffs-New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics (Game 5 Wednesday TBA from New York live on TNT Game 6 if necessary Friday TBA from Boston live on TBA Game 7 if necessary Sunday TBA from New York live on TBA), Indiana Pacers vs. Atlanta Hawks (Game 5 Wednesday TBA from Indianapolis live on TBA Game 6 Friday TBA from Atlanta live on TBA Game 7 if necessary Sunday TBA from Indianapolis live on TBA), Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls (Game 6 Thursday 8pm from Chicago live on TNT Game 7 if necessary Saturday TBA from Brooklyn live on TNT)

Look, I could make fun of something stupid here, but this just deserves the moment. I hope that when a basketball player comes out next year, it’s met with general indifference. “Oh really? That’s neat.” Until then, good for Jason Collins.

5. NFL: Ravens Rookie Minicamp (Friday-Sunday Under Armour Performance Center coverage on AM1570 WNST.net)

I don’t think Brandon Williams would struggle to come up with something for the annual rookie talent show at Training Camp…

I could honestly watch him do that for hours.
