“The Reality Check” is hitting the road Friday afternoon, leaving the cozy confines of The Zone Superstore studios in Towson for the cozier confines of Hooters at Harborplace downtown.
We’ll be doing this periodically throughout the summer, thanks to our friends at Budweiser. As you’re on your way down to be part of the packed house for the Baltimore Orioles/Detroit Tigers game Friday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, we hope you’ll come over and hang out with us for some great food, cold Budweiser and a “friendly” wait staff.
They look fun.
Not only will the gang from Hooters be there, but we’ll also have former O’s OF Larry Sheets stopping by around 3:30. Sheets is now the head baseball coach at Gilman, so we’ll be talking all things Birds as well as prep baseball.
And as if all of that wasn’t enough, we want to upgrade your O’s apparel ahead of Friday night’s game.
The Nike Adam Jones t-shirt our own Jill Goldstein is holding in the above picture is up for grabs at Hooters. We want to see the worst piece of Birds apparel you might possibly own. Be it a Danys Baez t-shirt, a Jose Morban autographed hat or perhaps even a misspelled jersey that suggests the name of the team’s catcher is “Weiters”…we want to see it. Anyone who stops by between 2 and 5:30 with terrible apparel will be eligible to win.
With big crowds expected all weekend at OPACY, it’s probably a good idea to get downtown early. Come have a Bud, win a shirt and meet Larry Sheets with us.
See you there.
