Nestor returns to afternoon drive at & AM 1570 on April 1st

March 20, 2014 | WNST Staff is proud to announce an exciting shift in our on-air lineup beginning Tuesday, April 1st. Nestor Aparicio, founder of WNST who previously retired as a full-time host in 2006 to focus more on the business side of WNST’s operation, is returning to the hot seat as host of “The Happy Hours” driven by Jerry’s Automotive daily from 3pm-6pm.

“I couldn’t be more excited to come back and share my passion not only for sports, but also for Baltimore in general,” Aparicio said. “I feel a great sense of civic pride and as someone who is proud to call Baltimore home, I want to develop a show that all of you can be proud of. The majority of my show will consist of good old-fashioned sports talk, but I will also be introducing a discussion-based format as each day, we’ll explore and dissect trending topics, community issues, local charities, and so much more.”

Glenn Clark will be taking his “Reality Check” to the middays from 12pm-3pm. “The D&L Window Tinting Morning Reaction” with Drew Forrester and Luke Jones will remain in its long-time 6am-10am slot, and Dan Patrick will continue to be a part of the WNST family from 10am-noon.

Aparicio has several local sponsors on board that will be joining him in this new and exciting adventure. Jerry’s Automotive will be presenting “The Happy Hours” each and everyday, and afternoons at WNST will be brought to you in part by ABC Rental Rosedale, Chesapeake Physical & Aquatic Therapy, Al’s Seafood, and Roofing By Elite.

“I can’t thank my sponsors enough for their loyalty and belief as I take on this next challenge,” Aparicio said. “Bill, Jim and the gang at Jerry’s Automotive have showed a tremendous amount of faith in our product at WNST and I can’t wait to develop our relationship even further. Craig Creamer at ABC Rental of Rosedale has been a long-time supporter of WNST and I’m fortunate in that I’ll never buy another piece of equipment for as long as I live. Jared and his gang at Chesapeake Physical & Aquatic Therapy are a new addition to the WNST family and I can’t wait to tell you all more about what they do over there. Crab Man Chad at Al’s Seafood…let’s just say I’ve been eating there for the better part of my 45 years on this planet. And last but not least, Brian at Roofing By Elite has been a steadfast supporter of ours and it’s going to be fun bringing them along for this ride.”

If you or someone you know is involved in a business that would like to become a part of our WNST family, email or WNST is always looking to expand and spread the good message of our Baltimore business partners.
