Bryan's Bio
If you look up sportsfan in the dictionary you will see my picture. One of my favorite sports is College Lacrosse which will be a huge part of this blog. However I will also blog about other sports topics. Since my favorite teams don't match most Baltimore fans we should have some interesting discussions.

Fans who attend the O’s/Red Sox series this week should pay attention to the players on the Red Sox roster. Their roster is how the O’s roster should look at the end of the process that Andy MacPhail has begun here. The Sox are made up of a combination of players who came up from their minor league system. Once that developed Theo Epstein filled in the cracks with free agents and trades. The Sox have Ellsbury, Pedroria, Youkilis, Lowry, and Varitek in their normal lineup. These guys have spent their entire major league careers in Boston. On the pitching side they have Lester, Papelbon, Masterson, Delcarmen, and Bard who from their system. They went out and used other players from the system to acquire Beckett, Lowell, and Kotsay. They also got Jason Bay in the Manny Ramirez trade. They used free agency to get Baldelli and Saito. I admit the Orioles may not be able to afford Dice-K but Uehara seems like nice addition so far. This is the kind of mix the Orioles need to develop. This also allows them to compete with the Yankees without having to spend the money the bombers do. If you focus between the lines the O’s should want to be Red Sox south.
