The UMBC men’s basketball team had to play a day earlier than expected due to the impending snow storm that could have created problems tomorrow. But they certainly looked like they could have used an extra day to get ready for the Catamounts.
They just could not get into a rhythm during the game. There were a combined 52 fouls between the two teams and UMBC just shot 35.6% in the game. The two teams combined for 71 free throw attempts.
There was just no flow to the game. It seemed like there was a foul on nearly every possession and just no way to build on any type of momentum.
Chris De La Rosa led UMBC with 18 points and Chauncey Gilliam scored 15 points.
