» Drew's Bio

The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

Patsy time is over. It’s a 4-week sprint to the finish for the Ravens, who remain in prime contention for a playoff spot after today’s 34-3 laugher in Cincinnati. I never thought winning could be so frigging boring.  But, it’s way better than losing, even if a 27-3 lead and a listless 4th quarter force you to throw ... Read More »

I guess I’m glad I didn’t stick around in Philly to see that one first-hand. Penn State thumped Towson tonight, 78-54, in the finale of the Hoop Group tournament at The Palestra in Philadelphia.  Towson (3-3) finished the tournament with a 1-3 record and dropped both games in Philly this weekend, losing to Villanova on Friday ... Jay Greene fed Rich Flemming for a monster alley-oop dunk with 2 minutes to play and the University of Toledo folded shop at that point as UMBC used a late second half rally to knock off the Rockets, 61-56, on Saturday afternoon at the RAC Arena. It didn’t look good for the Retrievers as Toledo (1-5) ... Read More »

Everything about The Palestra was great except the final score.   Villanova 64 - Towson 47 I’ll have video up from my night at the historic sports arena on the campus UPenn at some point in the next day or two.  You’ll get an inside look at how the Tigers prepared for the game and, from my ... Hard to believe a drive into Philadelphia could be classified as “nice”, but that’s how it went for me today as I headed to the city of Brotherly Love to watch Towson take on Villanova tonight at The Palestra (8:30pm). We always start talking about being thankful for things in our life at this point in the year.  The Thanksgiving holiday starts a month of family get-togethers, meeting up with friends and remembering how fortunate we all are to have good health and love in our lives. There’s a lot of football left and anything can happen. Five games is an eternity in the NFL.   Injuries…a missed call by the zebras…a bad match-up or two. In the NFL, you can win three in a row in a heartbeat and lose three in a row just as quickly. But this is a Ravens team that looks ... Read More »

What happens when a team comes into your arena with no basketball conference to call home, no wins over the last two seasons — and no hope for winning tonight? Most times, it’s a 40-point blowout win in which the victors clear the bench and give everyone a chance to get in on the party. Once in ... Read More »

I’m usually the first guy to make the call on a Monday morning when the Ravens are playing a stiff the following week. I did it the week the Ravens played the Browns in Baltimore in September - “no need to worry about this one, Ravens win a laugher…” I did it the week the Ravens hosted ... Read More »

Was it me or did Andy Reid look like a coach who wants to be fired today? Trailing 10-7, Reid hit the panic button and started the 3rd quarter by exchanging his Hall-of-Very-Good quarterback for a second year scrub who made Kyle Boller look like Tom Brady.  The end result was a 36-7 pasting applied by ...
