Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

Game Summary: Towson scratched their way back into this one this afternoon, trailing by as few as four points with 45 seconds to go in the game, but foul-line misses by Junior Hairston (2) and Rocky Coleman (1) down the stretch hurt the Tigers as Drexel pulled out a 60-53 win at the Towson Center. Coleman ... Read More »
I’m sure there will be plenty of discussion today now that we’ve all heard from Ray Lewis for the first time since the season-ending loss to the Steelers in the AFC Championship. If you missed the interview on today’s edition of The Comcast Morning Show, you can hear it (in the audio vault) or see it ... Read More »
So, we were wrapping up another day of live coverage from Super Bowl 43 in Tampa this evening just before 6pm. Ray Lewis was doing a segment with NFL Network directly in front of us. He finished with them and was chatting with Deion Sanders when Nestor approached him and asked if he could give us ... Read More »
OK, so I can’t wait to hear why Jon Garland wouldn’t have been a good fit in Baltimore. The big excuse this year - relative to spending money on free agents - has been “age”. That’s why the Orioles passed on Derek Lowe. Evidently, a 12-year veteran pitcher who has made 32 or more starts in seven ... Read More »
Anyone who has listened to me over the years at WNST knows my #1 sports axiom: “The toughest thing to do in sports…is to stop losing.” When your car breaks down, you take it to a mechanic and he (or she) knows how to repair the problem. And, if for some reason they don’t know how ... Read More »
The dirty little secret in Tampa is that the Super Bowl - here, in the city - isn’t so Super at all. Far from it, in fact. One would assume the downtown area would be buzzing with business. Packed parking garages…reservations-needed for restaurants…bump into someone-you-know every other block kind of crowded. Not true. Downtown, here in Tampa, ... Read More »
If the Gary Williams era at Maryland could be juxtaposed with a game of “horse”, Gary would have H-O-R-S at this point. Make no mistake about it, the panic button is blinking and fans of the Terps basketball program have their fist in place, ready to pound on it. Gary has been maligned for several years now ... One glance at the latest post from Tony Pente at Orioles Hangout tells you there might be trouble in Birdland pretty soon. It was only fitting that Thursday’s Orioles press conference at OPACY came just 24 hours after the Ravens closed the book on their 2008 campaign at 1 Winning Drive. The Birds gathered the media yesterday to officially announce the signing of Nick Markakis. It was (unless something crazy happens in the next four weeks) the team’s ... Read More »
The final report card for defensive starters and those seeing significant playing time - along with the special teams. Trevor Pryce (B-) - Sack and pressure numbers were down from ‘06 when he had a monster year (missed most of last season) but he is 2 years older. Still turned in a decent campaign and always ...
