Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

The controversy surrounding this week’s Baltimore County High School cross country championship is another glaring example of how adults get involved and wind up ruining things for kids. This time, leave it to a stupid rule, enforced by someone who didn’t utilize common sense, and further accentuated by a coach who decided to accept the title ... Read More »
Your father and his father (that would be, of course, your grandfather) decide to open a steak restaurant. Let’s call it “George’s” just because. When they open the restaurant, they pledge to feed their patrons the best steaks possible, accompanied, naturally, by the best vegetables, potatoes and wine and spirits list. There are other restaurants in the area ... Read More »
Baltimore has been heard. The Sun - stealing OUR idea from the summer of ‘08 when we conducted a bracket-style “King of Baltimore Sports” contest - is trying to identify Baltimore’s biggest celebrity. They started with 64 Baltimore celebrities last week and are trying to wittle them down via reader voting to come up with Baltimore’s ... Read More »
Last week, I authored a blog in which I put forth my personal belief that people who contribute to the world-wide web on blogs, message boards, etc. should use their real name (and include a real e-mail address) when posting their work. I reviewed and approved numerous comments from people - some agreeing with me, some ... Read More »
On Thursday, my “Cheap Shot from the Bleachers” (go to the WNST.net audio vault to hear it) centered on folks who contribute to the world (sports or otherwise) via the internet and utilize a fake name and/or e-mail address in an effort to hide their identity. A number of you - way more than I thought, ... Read More »
It’s been quite a week so far in Baltimore, as a large majority of Ravens fans skip from firing-the-defensive-coordinator to cutting-the-place-kicker to trading-for-anyone-because-he-can’t-be-worse-than-what-we-have-now. Baltimore is no longer The City That Reads. Rather, it’s The City That Panics. So…here’s my advice to all of you — take four days off and report back next Monday ready for duty. It’s ... Read More »
1. Rumor on the street is they’re building a woodshed at Duke’s football stadium. I wonder if Maryland will like the view when the Blue Devils whack them around on Saturday? 2. I’m sure glad the Orioles passed on C.C. Sabathia in the off-season. $23 million a year for a guy who can’t even throw a ... Read More »
With the two people involved in the relationship dead and gone, and a wife, mother and children left trying to remember only the “good things” about their husband and dad, why on earth would people publish the “last hours of Steve McNair’s life” today? What a joke. Those folks should be ashamed of themselves, including the police ... Read More »
As the scrutiny continues and everyone in Baltimore adds their two cents on “what’s wrong with the Ravens?”, no one seems to be clenching on to the most telling and obvious issue of them all. It’s not pretty, so buckle up for this one. And, as Ian Eagle would say, “it’s not a low blow, it’s a ... Read More »
A Ravens source tells me this afternoon it’s “unlikely” any deals will be made between now (3pm Monday, 10/19) and Tuesday’s 4pm NFL trade deadline. “There’s just not much out there (for trade purposes),” says the source. ”What we really need to do is just play better…as individuals and as a team. We’re not that far ... Read More »
