Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

Perhaps it doesn’t really constitute a “morning after review” when it comes just four hours after you got to bed, but some things are a little more clear on this warm November Monday…with or without a good night’s sleep. The Ravens have the benefit of a relatively soft schedule between here and January 3 when they ... Read More »
Twenty years from now when an outsider goes leafing through the 2009 NFL Record Book, they’ll have no idea what REALLY transpired on November 29 when the Ravens beat the Steelers, 20-17, in overtime. The entire season — regardless of what happens from here — could have changed on one play with a little over three ... Read More »
Tiger Woods released a statement early this afternoon after denying Florida police the opportunity to speak with him about the one-car accident he was involved in on Friday morning. Here’s what Tiger Woods says about the incident. I consider the statement he released to be “carefully crafted”. It left nothing unsaid. He discussed the accident, denied the ... Read More »
12:25 pm update: Woods is now scheduled to meet with the Florida Highway Patrol at 3:00 pm Sunday. By 4:30 or 5:00 pm, the FHP will send out a statement that reads something like this: “The Florida Highway Patrol interviewed Tiger Woods today for approximately 30 minutes at his home. Following this meeting with Mr. Woods, ... Read More »
Drew looks at the early stages of the Tiger Woods "car crash" story and sees it from both angles. An innocent car crash? Or a domestic situation that got out of control? Either way, the haters are all digging in. ... Read More »
You have to excuse the folks at NBC if they’re feeling a little sick this morning. Barf bags for everyone, please. The highly-anticipated AFC North match-up on Sunday night between the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers just turned into a borefest with the news from FOX Sports that Ben Roethlisberger will not play in the game due to ... 3:45 pm — A publicist for Tiger Woods has issued the following statement: “Tiger Woods was involved in a minor automobile accident earlier this morning near his home. He was transported to a local hospital, treated, and released in good condition this afternoon.” 3:40 pm — CNN and CNBC are both reporting that Tiger Woods is “fine” ... Read More »
Even though there are still roughly 35 days left in the calendar year, I’ll throw out some very personal sports “thank-you’s” for 2009 to date. Thanks to the Baltimore Orioles for finally listening to me, caving in, and doing the right thing and putting BALTIMORE back on the front of the road uniforms. It made suffering ... Read More »
In case you missed it, the San Diego Padres today claimed (now former) Orioles pitcher Radhames Liz off of waivers. If you can’t stop laughing, join the club. I thought the object of pitching was to keep runners OFF the bases? I have to believe somewhere this story is about to be written today in San Diego: (AP) — ... Read More »
