Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

8:55 pm – What was nearly a miraculous finish by Towson turned into a bizarre ending as the Tigers threw away a chance to win the game in the final seconds on Wednesday night, losing to Bowling Green, 70-69. The Falcons led by 4 with 11.3 seconds to play, but Scott Thomas missed a pair of foul ... Read More »
I just heard that rumor somewhere. The Orioles have offered Alex Rodriguez one billion dollars for the lifetime rights to his first son. How many of you are going to post that and offer comment about it somewhere on the web? Earlier today, Scott Boras floated a rumor through a Colorado newspaper that the Orioles (of all teams…Scott, ... Read More »
Ten years. A decade. Roughly 3,650 days. In a city like Baltimore, rich with sports tradition, there were A LOT of significant events, games and decisions that were made — all of them helped to shape our sports landscape from 2000-2009. A decade is a long time. About a month ago, as I glanced at the calendar over the Thanksgiving ... Read More »
So, the back-up wants to pack-up, huh? Buh-bye. Before I crush yesterday’s ”Troy Smith wants a trade” announcement from his agent, Ralph Cindrich, let me first say this for the record: It’s completely understandable that Troy Smith wants out of Baltimore. He wants to be a starter in the NFL. The money is better for starters. The security is ... Read More »

I’m going to assume that the tweet sent flying today by Troy Smith’s agent, Ralph Cindrich, is true. Troy Smith wants a trade. That’s what Cindrich says. Cindrich is “professional” enough to make sure he mentions the trade will be sought after the “playoffs and SB run”. What a guy. He obviously doesn’t want to do anything to disrupt ... Read More »
Our Monday hangover in Baltimore, made all the more head-pounding with a heaping dose of Heinz Field agony, includes - as always following a loss - an in-depth review of yet another game the Ravens seemingly gave away in this 2009 season. Since 4:15 pm or so Sunday, the Ravens coaching staff has taken their brunt ... Read More »
On the heels of that gruesome loss in Pittsburgh yesterday, I’ll give everyone a chance to recover today and then we’ll revisit tomorrow afternoon and chat about the Ravens and their chances for success at Oakland and everything else NFL during a “live chat” at 12:30pm at WNST.net. We did this a few weeks ago and ... Read More »
If you’re a good team in the NFL, you can’t make those mistakes. Not if you expect to win, that is. Can’t drop a sure touchdown in the 4th quarter of a one-score game. Can’t get a blocking from behind penalty on an interception return for a touchdown. Can’t forget to call a time-out when the other team is ... Read More »
When does a guy get a chance to be normal again? News trickled out yesterday that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has been nominated by his teammates in Philadelphia as the recipient of this year’s “Ed Block Courage Award” for the Eagles. And the folks in Baltimore are “foaming at the mouth” - to borrow a term that ... Read More »
