Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

At some point in Thursday’s edition of The Comcast Morning Show, Nestor, Glenn and I got into a discussion about Sunday’s upcoming Super Bowl and the obvious issue of “who to root for” in the big game.
My response? I honestly don’t care who wins.
I don’t. Really.
E-mails flooded my inbox and a couple of people, mainly someone named “Ed” and “Phil in Owings Mills” took me to task for saying that I don’t care who wins on Sunday “just to stir things up”.
Here’s an excerpt from Phil’s tongue-lashing:
I’m so sick of hearing you do things for ratings (and you don’t have any last I checked) and just to get people to react. You just say things like that today to stir things up. Try to be a little less obvious next time.
I’ll be happy to stress it again, Phil, and to anyone else that cares.
I. Do. Not. Care. Who. Wins. On. Sunday.
If New Orleans wins, that’s terrific.
If Indianapolis wins, good for them.
That’s not a “pot stirring attempt”, a “ratings driver” or any other silly suggestion people might come up with in their spare time.
I just don’t care who wins.
I hope it’s a good game…a close game…and that’s that.
Other than having to deal with my buddy Merton from Indianapolis for a few minutes on Monday morning, there’s probably not going to be a moment where the Colts winning bothers me — if they do.
It just doesn’t matter to me anymore.
If I can sit there and watch Peyton Manning and Company methodically dismiss the Ravens on January 16 from the press box in Indy, I can definitely say watching them beat the Saints on Sunday (which I think they will, for the record) won’t be any more hurtful than having our team’s season end to them three weeks ago.
I’m a Baltimore guy, born and raised. There’s no need for me to go into the story about going to games with my dad in the 1970’s and 1980’s because I’ve told that story more times than I’ve told the story about how the Orioles took my season media credential away from me because I campaigned for the return of “BALTIMORE” on the road jerseys too long and too hard.
I loved the Baltimore Colts.
But all of that animosity about Indianapolis is gone. Vanished. It’s almost like I moved it out in the middle of the night…no pun intended.
If the Colts win on Sunday, I’ll wake up on Monday and do sports talk and no one in town — in Baltimore that is — will have their life altered one iota just because Peyton Manning gets to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy again.
That’s the truth.
And if the Saints win, the same thing applies.
My team got eliminated last month.
That’s all I care about now.
And my team is called the Baltimore RAVENS…not the Baltimore COLTS.

I say the same thing, I don’t care either. Once the Baltimore Ravens won the Superbowl before the Indianapolis Colts ever did, that did it for me.

I don’t care who wins the game. I just hope the game is close and entertaining (Except for the Halftime show).

You’re a disgrace. That like not caring about a guy who kidnapped your mother, didn’t get convicted and later won the lottery. (DF: Uh, not quite. Not even close, in fact. I assume you’re joking. Then again, maybe not. More and more, I’m starting to realize there are a lot of goofy people in the world.)

How about this. It’s like rooting for the orioles after they move to anywhere, usa, immediately start listening to their fans (and radio hosts) and become instant contenders.
The point is you should always have an opinion on something that was STOLEN from you.

Here’s a point to ponder: the “perfect season” stigma will attach to Indy win or lose on Sunday! If they win, it will be reported that they shoulda/coulda/woulda gone undefeated; if they lose, fingers will be pointed at Polian again for “interrupting” their concentration, etc. and they’ll be considered perhaps the best team never to go undefeated or win a Super Bowl! Boy, would I like to see that scenario! But, while my heart’s in New Orleans, my head says Indy is too tough for Greg Williams’ defense…..

Hey Sal DUFUS, I for one love Drew’s blogs. They are especiallly entertaining with the responses. Like DUFUS Sal who hasn’t anything relative to say and jack who makes absoutely no sense. How many games did any of you morons go to the year or 2 before the Colts bolted to Indy? We have a team, they won a Super bowl in recoed time, they’ll win another soon. F’ the Colts & all things Irsay, remember the old legends, but root for the Ravens. It’s simple DUFUSES!!!
