Drew's Bio
The only person in the history of Baltimore sports-talk to attend Game 2 of the 1983 World Series, shoot 64 in golf (twice) and sit next to Dave Grohl on a flight from Baltimore to Cleveland (1997), Drew is the host of The Comcast Morning Show from 6am-10am Monday through Friday. Topics routinely range from the Ravens, Terps and the Orioles and their decision to not improve the team for the (insert number of years here) consecutive season. His favorite movie is "Wiggle Bay" and his favorite member of Little Einstein's is June. Drew's son Ethan said, "Daddy, why do the Flyers stink so bad?" when he was only 8 days old. "Gotta start 'em young," the proud papa said that night.

I can’t believe I’m going to say this but maybe, MAYBE, Ray Lewis had it right all along. During Super Bowl week, Lewis was commenting on his future, his free agency and the issues surrounding his possible return to Baltimore - and he said, “What I’m thinking is nobody’s business. Where I’m going is nobody’s business. ... Read More »
Welcome to life in the NFL. Or, as one Ravens associate said to me on Friday, “Welcome to the traveling circus.” On day one of free agency, players scooted around the country like an author on a book signing tour. There was action just about everywhere: Tampa Bay. Baltimore. New York. Denver. St. Louis. Do you know what ... Read More »
Hang in there gang, we’re almost to Friday. That’s when the fireworks REALLY begin. Beginning this Friday, if Ray Lewis really does reach 12:01am without a signed contract in Baltimore, he’ll hit free agency for the first time in his career. I assume, by the time I make it to the air at 6:07 for a Friday morning edition ... Read More »
Where will we be this time NEXT year? The Ravens’ playoff run for the 2008 season hasn’t been over for 48 hours and they are already forging ahead at Owings Mills in preparation for 2009. A suggested theme: ”Let’s play one more game”. After all, in 2008, the MAXIMUM amount of games a team could have played ... Read More »
With only one week remaining in the regular season, the Ravens are on target to return to post-season play for the second time in three seasons. The only thing standing in their way: a visit from downtrodden Jacksonville this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. Get ready to celebrate. There’s no way the Jags come here and ... Read More »
The deal isn’t signed, but it might as well be. Ray Lewis isn’t going anywhere when the 2008 season comes to a close. Since starting the season WITHOUT a contract for 2009 and beyond, there has been speculation in Baltimore that #52 might be on his way out…as the team defers to a younger (and cheaper) linebacking ... It’s hard enough to compile a Tuesday Top 7 when the team loses…but when they win 37-27 and you have about 10 players who were outstanding, how do you put them in order? I just put ‘em in a hat and start drawing names. Not really. But it IS difficult to pick the Top 7 this week. ... Read More »
Week three is in the books and for the first time this season, I’m compiling the Tuesday Top 7 after a defeat. Not as easy as doing it after a win, obviously. At the bottom, you’ll also see the updated season-long point standings. Keep in mind, the points are allocated in opposite order of player’s ranking ... Read More »
Someone needs to let Terrell Suggs know there’s a football season on the horizon. While the rest of his teammates battle their way through Camp Hardball, T-Sizzle continues to sun himself in Arizona. Some “franchise player” he is, eh? The team’s real franchise player, the middle linebacker on his way to the Hall of Fame, will continue to ... Read More »
I did a 15-minute Ravens preview segment on a Cleveland radio station late last week and the on-air announcer said to me: “I guess it’s fair to say the jury is out on John Harbaugh as a coach, right?” I didn’t know how to respond to that question at first, but I tossed out the most ... Read More »
