Glenn's Bio
When Pop-a-Shot basketball becomes an Olympic sport, Glenn Clark will win the gold, silver AND bronze. In the meantime, he's continuing his career as a Baltimore sports media person. We say "person" because he has too many jobs to describe them all right now. You hear him on "The Comcast Morning Show" & talking about the Ravens throughout the day on WNST. You read his columns on WNST.net, and if you're a female you've been awkwardly hit on by him at least once. If not, he says you should give him a call. He's been accused of being the adopted son of Gary Williams, and will fight you if you don't think Roberto Alomar belongs in the Hall of Fame. He prefers lacrosse to baseball, Robert Randolph to Led Zeppelin, Blue Moon to red wine, and Chick-Fil-A to anything.

I don’t do well most Sundays either. Frankly, I spent most of the day lying around, watching Italy lay an egg, got new tires, ate some orange chicken, and just genuinely wasn’t particularly productive. Maybe I understand the Orioles’ lack of Sunday production. I don’t like the idea of the Orioles giving up anything more than ... Read More »
Dave Trembley has clearly brought SOMETHING to the entire Baltimore Orioles organization that did not exist previously. And not only has it been received by the team, but it has clearly been received by the entire organization. The Orioles still have MANY issues. But those of you who feel like “Something’s different with this team” are ... Read More »
Sorry, long weekend and a lot to do this week; so I don’t have much to add today. The Orioles-Pirates series was REALLY exciting. I enjoyed every minute of it. Let’s see what everyone has to say…. Best of Sunday’s WNST Blogs: Nestor Aparicio says dad would love to hate Pirates on Father’s Day ORIOLES: The Official Site provides ... Read More »
I’m glad the Diamondbacks were blown out by the Royals tonight; or it might have been a bit awkward that I sat in the back room and watched golf for a while; then switched to watch the Birds. I know that athletes are never expected to “quit”; but I’m starting to buy into the whole “No ... Read More »
Kudos to WNST for beating everyone to the punch on the J.O. story yesterday. I believed the response to Jonathan Ogden’s retirement would have been more encompassing in Baltimore. I thought the story would reach Favre-like levels in town. I know the story has continued to lead everywhere in town; but the lack of comments I’ve ... Read More »
Still think Daniel Cabrera is a top of the rotation type of pitcher? Neither do I. But it’s nice to get a win in Boston. Its especially nice when you’re sitting at a bar watching the NBA Finals and you can celebrate in front of Boston fans once; then watch their faces after another of their ... Read More »
I like the group selected as 8 seeds for the KOBS Tournament; but damn if I can’t stomach the idea that Earl Monroe isn’t one of them. I can’t argue against of the guys that are in; but I can’t help but feel a bit queasy about The Pearl being left out. Oh well, I ... Read More »
I knew I wanted to be Jim McKay before I even knew I wanted to be a broadcaster. I’m not going to try to say much here because someone will say it better than I will. Jim McKay, you are missed; and all of Baltimore is grateful for everything you gave us. I’m so thankful the ... Read More »
Crabs & Beer will be back. In the meantime, I was directed here…. I have actually made some of those points before, including DY’s desire to make a splashy hire. It is hard to argue about the overall health of the program, but it is not difficult to argue about the direction the school’s revenue sports have been ... Read More »
