» Glenn's Bio

When Pop-a-Shot basketball becomes an Olympic sport, Glenn Clark will win the gold, silver AND bronze. In the meantime, he's continuing his career as a Baltimore sports media person. We say "person" because he has too many jobs to describe them all right now. You hear him on "The Comcast Morning Show" & talking about the Ravens throughout the day on WNST. You read his columns on WNST.net, and if you're a female you've been awkwardly hit on by him at least once. If not, he says you should give him a call. He's been accused of being the adopted son of Gary Williams, and will fight you if you don't think Roberto Alomar belongs in the Hall of Fame. He prefers lacrosse to baseball, Robert Randolph to Led Zeppelin, Blue Moon to red wine, and Chick-Fil-A to anything.

When did Robert Andino become Jose Reyes?

The undying affection I’ve heard in the last week about Robert Andino is a bit much.

Andino has been a particularly serviceable shortstop with Cesar Izturis hurt, and at times he’s looked borderline good.

But he’s NOT a franchise shortstop. He’s NOT a guy to pencil in for the future. And he’s NOT even as good as Cesar Izturis.

He’s a .255 hitter who gets on base at a .290 clip; has stolen 2 bases in 4 attempts, and has a mighty 7 RBI on the season. He also has made more than his fair share of plays; although he has also made defensive miscues, and his timing hasn’t been perfect.

Serviceable. The Orioles have made do with him while their regular has been hurt.

I guess years of Luis Hernandez and Freddie Bynum will make some of us lose perspective.

Let’s see what everyone else has to say….

SOME QUICK THOUGHTS:

-Patrick Stevens’ list has been VERY good thus far; but I think Drew Nicholas was better than anyone on his list thus far, with MAYBE the exception of John Gilchrist.

Talk to you tomorrow.
