Glenn's Bio
When Pop-a-Shot basketball becomes an Olympic sport, Glenn Clark will win the gold, silver AND bronze. In the meantime, he's continuing his career as a Baltimore sports media person. We say "person" because he has too many jobs to describe them all right now. You hear him on "The Comcast Morning Show" & talking about the Ravens throughout the day on WNST. You read his columns on WNST.net, and if you're a female you've been awkwardly hit on by him at least once. If not, he says you should give him a call. He's been accused of being the adopted son of Gary Williams, and will fight you if you don't think Roberto Alomar belongs in the Hall of Fame. He prefers lacrosse to baseball, Robert Randolph to Led Zeppelin, Blue Moon to red wine, and Chick-Fil-A to anything.

2:01-Talked to Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth for a while today about facing his former team-the Atlanta Falcons-Thursday night. He said the ‘08 season was a “semi-magical year” with the Falcons, where he felt like he was the “leader of the group” in the secondary. He’s not Bart Scott, as he praised former coach Mike Smith ... I was really impressed by Brian Matusz yesterday (and was actually out at OPACY to see him pitch live! Take THAT Melewski!), and have said all along that I truly believe he could turn out to be a very good pitcher at some point in his career. Even here in Baltimore! Let’s see what everyone else ... You get props: 1-Joe Flacco and Derrick Mason Yeah, they’re pretty good. Maybe not Brandon Marshall good; but pretty damn good nonetheless. (Editor’s note: LOL!) On a side note, my birthday is next Sunday. As you’re sitting there thinking to yourself, “Geez, I haven’t even asked Glenn what he wants for his birthday!”, I say “fear not! I ... Read More »
I have to stop and remind myself that this is just another preseason game. Otherwise, I might get carried away and say something like “The Ravens look like a Super Bowl contender.” Of course, they might be. But let’s not use fake football games to judge that. Saturday night’s 23-20 win was a breakout game of sorts for ... Read More »
Tuesday morning Drew Forrester and I faced a daunting task. With the recent studio upgrade (kudos to Paul Kopelke, Nestor & Jen Aparicio, The Koko Brothers, etc!), we had 4 hours of radio to do at 6 in the morning and no available phone lines. Making things more difficult, Drew was battling a particularly nasty ... Read More »
I cannot confirm the Philadelphia Daily News story that says the Ravens have been interested in any WR’s that might be freed up by the Eagles; but I CAN say that the story is COMPLETELY logical. Guys like Hank Baskett or Reggie Brown would already come in with familiarity towards John Harbaugh, and a likely willingness ... Read More »
2:01-John Harbaugh told the media today that the team “has plans” for Lardarius Webb and Chris Carr as kick returners, but that the rest of the guys who have been taking reps will have to “take a back seat.” Webb-the rookie out of Nicholls State-”needs a certain number of reps” according to Harbaugh because he doesn’t ... At this point, I’d say Terrell Suggs’ injury is a concern. The guys aren’t at Training Camp anymore; they’re back in their own beds and at the castle in Westminster, so there’s no reason for Sizzle to be trying to get out of practice at this point. I’d be concerned. And “monitoring.” Let’s see what everyone else ... Read More »
2:54-Derrick Mason was back in the #9 practice jersey he had worn last Wednesday to honor Steve McNair. Maybe the Ravens didn’t want him to wear it out at McDaniel College? Hopefully we’ll get an answer tomorrow. Plenty of audio from today up in the Audio Vault at WNST.net. Hear from: -Coach John Harbaugh -WR Derrick Mason -K Steve ... Read More »
The “Matt Stover factor” is overrated. The Ravens are committed to having one of these guys kick against the Chiefs on September 13. Matt Stover might well end up kicking again later this season. But it will come only if the Hauschka-Gano winner (likely Hauschka at this point) gets hurt or proves incapable of kicking. Let’s see ... Read More »
