Glenn's Bio
"Radio vagabond" was not the idea Glenn's guidance counselor recommended during his years at Perry Hall High School. But after he tried his hand as "Professional Collegian" (with stops at UMBC, Essex, and his beloved University of Maryland); Glenn decided to move into the nomadic world of broadcast media. His path took him to places in Baltimore, DC, and an exile to Phoenix; but Glenn is now thrilled to be home with WNST; the station he grew up listening to. He might not have the charm of the voices he grew up listening to (Johnny Holliday, Chuck Thompson, or even Nestor Aparicio); but you can hear Glenn every morning with Drew Forrester on "The Comcast Morning Show." And you can read Glenn everyday on WNST.net with "Crabs and Beer."

I’m not going to beat up Dave Trembley for pulling Brad Bergesen. There is no excuse for the fact that Jim Johnson and George Sherrill couldn’t get the job done in the 9th; and for the fact that the team couldn’t get a hit for most of the game. It is much too easy to blame... Read More »
Last night was special. I mean, REALLY special. I’m not going to say it can change the course of the season; because that just doesn’t happen in baseball. But it was REALLY special. Let’s see what everyone has to say…. Best of Tuesday’s WNST Blogs: Nestor Aparicio says ‘Magic’ was in full display at OPACY last night Drew Forrester went to... Read More »
How would you respond to a friend who called you to say “Hey man, I have a ticket to Wednesday’s game; do you want to go?” I mean, you might see exciting things like Adam Jones’ UNBELIEVABLE catch last night; but you’ll be hanging out with something like 30,000 Red Sox fans all night. I’ll probably still... Read More »
I want to be surprised by the mistakes I continuously see the Orioles make; but it is particularly hard to be. Trembley’s lineup decisions are questionable at best (Andino-Jones makes WAY more sense to me 1-2 than Jones-Wigginton does); and it is tough to keep a team accountable when they aren’t really even that interested. So... Read More »
Just a tad difficult to get excited about the “Battle of the Beltways” this weekend after the Orioles put together an effort like that this week in Miami. I guess there will be a good atmosphere at the ballpark, but why? David Hernandez SHOULD make Sunday’s start. What would be the point of forcing Uehara to... Read More »
Do you want me to say something about Felix Pie? I already have. He has no business here. It’s borderline embarrassing. Joey Gathright can do the things Felix Pie does (and Joey Gathright is not a particularly good player either). Do you want me to say something about Koji Uehara? I’ve already said plenty. The guy... The Koji Uehara situation is going to come to a head sooner than the Orioles wanted it to. As a few callers mentioned this morning, Koji looked VERY uncomfortable pitching in the heat last night in South Florida, and I don’t think that’s something that he’s just going to come around to feeling comfortable with.... When did Robert Andino become Jose Reyes? The undying affection I’ve heard in the last week about Robert Andino is a bit much. Andino has been a particularly serviceable shortstop with Cesar Izturis hurt, and at times he’s looked borderline good. But he’s NOT a franchise shortstop. He’s NOT a guy to pencil in for the future. And... Read More »
It was an awesome weekend for sure. I enjoyed every moment of watching the Orioles this weekend (other than Danys Baez’s pitch to Ryan Howard); and LOVED texting my friends from Philadelphia to rub it in. Keep it in perspective, but enjoy the weekend. Let’s see what everyone else has to say….. Best of Sunday’s WNST Blogs: Nestor Aparicio... Read More »
Major League Baseball can really do a lot to avoid situations like the one that came up when Sam Mayfield caught Matt Wieters’ first HR ball with EASE. Put this on the back of every ticket stub…. “Major League Baseball holds the right to confiscate any baseball hit into the stands should they choose to.” BUT, they should... Read More »
