Glenn's Bio
When Pop-a-Shot basketball becomes an Olympic sport, Glenn Clark will win the gold, silver AND bronze. In the meantime, he's continuing his career as a Baltimore sports media person. We say "person" because he has too many jobs to describe them all right now. You hear him on "The Comcast Morning Show" & talking about the Ravens throughout the day on WNST. You read his columns on WNST.net, and if you're a female you've been awkwardly hit on by him at least once. If not, he says you should give him a call. He's been accused of being the adopted son of Gary Williams, and will fight you if you don't think Roberto Alomar belongs in the Hall of Fame. He prefers lacrosse to baseball, Robert Randolph to Led Zeppelin, Blue Moon to red wine, and Chick-Fil-A to anything.

Atkins was a very good hitter (full disclosure: he played half of his games at Coors Field in Denver) between 2006-2008, tallying 20+ HR’s, 99+ RBI and at least a .286 average ... Read More »

(Photo Courtesy of The Sun) As Thyrl Nelson wrote earlier this week and my friend Sam Angell (who works dilligently at the University of Maryland and previously worked for BaltimoreRavens.com) Facebooked-this has been about the best week for an Orioles fan since-say-1997. Winners of 7 of their last 8, the call-up of “future Hall of Famer” Matt ... Read More »
In commercials that you have almost certainly seen recently, MASN (the Orioles’ regional sports network) has invented a new, seemingly “mythical” place called “Birdland.” It’s really quite the concept. Come out to Camden Yards, and you never know what amazing thing you might see. It’s really quite the concept! Unfortunately, the only Magic that has come ... Read More »
As always, Drew’s list is a bit different than mine. For this exercise, we defined “Birdland” as moments that have happened at Camden Yards…. My list: 5. “Boo Teixeira Day” (4/6/09) 4. Cal Ripken’s Final Game (10/6/01) 3. Eddie Murray’s 500th Home Run (9/6/96) 2. ALDS Game 4-Orioles 3, Mariners 1 (10/5/97) 1. 2131 (9/6/95) Drew’s list: 5. Getting Kicked Off the Grass ... I was poking my head around TV today, and noticed that “Disco” Daniel Cabrera was on the hill for the Nationals. Ask me if this stat line sounds familiar…… 6IP, 5ER, 7H, 2BB, 4K, Loss The Nationals tried to rally, but fell 6-4 to Marlins. Cabrera was rolling along, but was done in by a 4 run 5th ... Read More »

I think we all agree that the position players on this Orioles team actually look pretty good. But there is a GLARING problem on this team; as this team appears to have little to NOTHING when it comes to pitching. So we’re going to help, as always. Thursday morning during the Comcast Morning Show; we are ... Read More »
According to Zrebiec; the Birds have inked Jolbert Cabrera and Robby Hammock to minor league deals with Spring Training invites. If you’ll remember; Hammock was the catcher a few years back when Randy Johnson threw a perfect game for the Diamondbacks against the Braves in Atlanta. More importantly; the Birds’ magic number to clinch at least a ... Read More »
