I hope all of you had a great New Year’s celebration. Mine was really low key. I just sat around with a few of the guys and watched a lot of football. We had practice on Thursday, so the main requirement on Wednesday was to get plenty of rest.
We’re looking forward to going down to [...]
I hope everyone had a great Holiday! I went home to New Jersey on Thursday to see my family and friends. Because we played on Saturday last week, we were able to change the schedule a little bit and take off on Thursday instead of Tuesday. I’m sure it was cool for the guys on [...]

We’re excited about playing on Saturday night in Dallas. It’s been evident all week at practice. We know what we have to do and we’re going down there to win a game and move closer to the playoffs. I like the environment we’ve been in this week. Good, hard, fun practices and everyone is on [...]
Congratulations to James Madison and Richmond of the CAA for making it to the final four of the Football Championship Subdivision. It would be really cool if they both win this weekend and play one another in the title game next week. I’m pulling for them. It’s great to see the CAA getting some recognition [...]

We’ve worked hard this week to get ready for the Redskins. I’ve been out in the community a little bit this week and I can sense that a Baltimore-Washington game has some extra special meaning to it for the fans. We’re not downplaying that the game is important to the fans but what matters most [...]

We had an early practice on Thursday and I then headed up to New Jersey to have Thanksgiving with my family. My brothers played in a big local high school football game between the two rival schools in my hometown (my brothers’ team lost, sorry guys!) so football was a major part of my family’s [...]

It sure will be good to get back to our stadium and see (and hear) all the fans for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia. We put that New York loss behind us right away and started preparing for the Eagles. We’ve had a good week of practice and we all know Philadelphia has an outstanding organization [...]

I went with a bunch of the offensive lineman to see the new Bond movie Quantum Solace last night…lots of really good action scenes in there. If you’re a Bond fan you’ll like it, I’m sure. These get togethers with the offensive line have been a lot of fun for all of us. We usually [...]

We’re in a really good groove right now and it’s a lot of fun for us. Not only have we won three straight games but we’re practicing hard and everyone is very focused on what we have to do on a week-to-week basis.
I know this was supposed to be our bye week but maybe it’s [...]

I’ll be making my first trip to Cleveland this Sunday and I’m hearing from some of the guys that the fans are pretty loud and crazy. That’s good. I really liked playing in that kind of atmosphere in Pittsburgh earlier this year. Obviously our fans in Baltimore are great to us and they’re really loud [...]

It’s back to work for us this Sunday when we play the Raiders. We’ve been watching film on them this week and they have a very opportunistic defense. Every week I’m seeing different players, different schemes and different formations and I have to study a lot of tape to make sure I’m ready to put [...]

I guess this is life in the NFL when you have to go up against Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Indianapolis in a three-week stretch, but we’ve had a couple of great days of practice and that Titans loss is definitely behind us.
John Harbaugh pulled me aside a few days ago and told me he that I’m [...]

Well, my first NFL loss is in the books but we really didn’t dwell on it too much after the game. As soon as we got on the plane to come home, guys started talking about bouncing back against Tennessee and how we need to make sure we don’t let one loss take away from [...]

We’ve had a really good couple of days practice this week in preparation for the Browns. One of the biggest differences between college football and pro football - for me - is [...]
