Marco's Bio
Ever since he was a little kid people have told Marco Romanell that he was born to be a sportscaster. A passionate Orioles, Ravens and Terps fan, Marco often impressed people twice his age with his knowledge of local sports. Despite having a degree in Sports Management from Towson University, Marco started bouncing in between jobs outside of the sports media field but he was not happy. His big break came when a friend of his asked him to a co- host a weekly High School Sports radio show, and from there things started to fall in place. Marco currently writes for Press Box and the Capital Gazette in Annapolis which has helped him get some contacts and credibility in the media. When he listened to WNST and heard about the opportunity that Nestor presented he submited his resume not knowing what to expect. After getting selected to participate in the King of Baltimore Sportstalk Competition, Marco got to live his dream for two months, culminating in a second place finish in the competition. Marco Romanell is finally getting to do what he dreamnt about his whole life; share his opinions on sports with the greatest sports fans in the greatest sports city in the country.

An old adage says “April showers, bring May flowers” and as we turn the calendar page, hopefully this adage reigns true for the Orioles. A 9- 13 record, 5.89 team ERA and the starting catcher and left fielder hitting less then .200 are some of the “showers” that have occurred this month, leaving fans wondering if ... Read More »
The Rangers took three of four from the Orioles this weekend in Camden Yards, handing the O’s their first home series loss of the season. If the Orioles are to be competitive at all these are the type of teams that they need to beat, but it is only April so we can’t put too much ... Read More »
With the draft in the books, many Ravens are upset that the team did not draft a big time wide receiver and some are disappointed with their overall picks. Despite the lack of playmakers drafted, I believe the Ravens had one of the better drafts of any team and made some great picks that will produce ... Read More »

Brad Bergesen will make his long awaited major league debut tonight for the Orioles in Camden Yards. Regardless of how he pitches, I believe that this move could mean the start of something special for this franchise. Obviously the Orioles and their fans would like to see Begersen be successful, but the fact that the Orioles took ... Read More »
“With the 26th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select…..” these are words that will be uttered by Roger Goodell on draft day, but Ravens fans are wondering how he will finish it. The Ravens have had tremendous success drafting late in the first round, using the 26th pick in 1996 to draft Ray ... Read More »
With the NFL draft right around the corner, Ravens fans are wondering who will be the next “gem” that Ozzie Newsome will find. When I went on the air for my five minutes, I discussed what I think the Ravens should do with their first round pick, so in this blog I figured I would discuss ... Read More »
The NFL schedule has been released and Ravens fans are inevitably going through it predicting what the Ravens final record will be. Last year, given the off-season we had and the tough schedule, nobody predicted an 11-5 regular season for the Ravens. This shows that predicting wins and loses is meaningless. The team will take it one game ... Read More »
April 13, 2009 is a day that will go down in Orioles history as the Orioles debuted their brand new “Baltimore” road jerseys. The Orioles were able to take care of business on the field and hold on to beat the Rangers 10-9. Brian Roberts opened the historic game in style with a hit, ultimately leading to ... Read More »
The first week of the Baseball season is in the books and the Orioles are an impressive 4-2, taking both series from the Yankees and Rays. This should be nothing new for Orioles fans as the team came out 6-1 in the first seven games last year before ultimately finishing below .500. Will this season end the ... Read More »
