1. How bad has this season been for the Orioles? Well, if you buy tix online for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays, they are giving away beer! I’m not kidding! It’s a shame that NCAA regulations won’t allow the Terps to do the same! 2. After going to the Capitals’ Convention last week, I am ... Read More »
With Rex Ryan and Bart Scott returning to M&T as opponents instead of being part of the purple, I just wanted to share with you about other former Ravens’ players and coaches. The California Redwoods of the new United Football League announced a few players that made their team. Two of them are former Ravens FB/RB ... Read More »
After the Eagles signed Michael Vick last week and the Vikings signed Brett Favre today, I just want to leave a few brief thoughts about the situation: 1. In doing so, I have given the opportunity to be an Examiner for your Baltimore Blast on Examiner.com. This is indeed an honor as I have been a fan of Baltimore ... Read More »

Too many to count. The geeks - I’m sorry. I’m not just singling out the Oriole pitching staff. Pitchers in the ... Read More »
While the area was captivated with several events surrounding the Preakness Stakes, several greats from the world of professional and college football came to town for an event called, “Faith and Football” that was sponsored by the Baltimore Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held at their Stake Center in ... No motif this week. Just straight up stars and geeks. The stars: * - The Washington Capitals – for having a great season and an exciting playoff series despite the big steamer that they left in Game 7. ** - The Baltimore hockey fans that showed up at all of the WNST hockey viewing parties. It was a ... Read More »
Sports and superstitions go together like peanut butter and jelly. This is especailly true in hockey. For example, fans of the Caps and other teams have grown “playoff beards”. Red Wings’ fans are known for throwing octopi onto the ice. I have adopted my own superstition for this series: posting a blog with the video below. Every time that ... Read More »
In honor of the 50-1 longshot, Mine That Bird winning the Kentucky Derby and coming to the Preakness next week, our stars and geeks of the week will follow a horse racing motif. Instead of having three stars, our heroes will be listed as Win, Place and Show. They are also underdogs that have overcome ... Read More »
